names
Westerners typically give their children names of their parents or a relative who has recently passed away. Some houses have had the same handful of names since the founding of Daire.Religion
While westerners follow The Order of Martalia, and their High Clerics still answer to the Seer in Estea, westerners follow a slightly different teaching that bans all magic. Their chapel sermons are very similar to their northern sisters, but tend to place a lot more focus on the sins of Lun.Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Red and blonde hair are extremely sought after. Some people even apply natural bleaches to attempt lightening their hair.
Gender Ideals
In human circles, occupation has much to do with gender. Women take high skill jobs of the mind, and men take low skill jobs of the body. However, in Daire, this is taken to more of an extent. Majority of Order clergy are women, as are most leaders. Men have less of a presence in these spaces, and are met with much more scrutiny. Kings are much more harshly criticized than Queens.
Trans individuals definitely exist and can thrive, but do go through a few more hurdles to "prove" their gender than northerners.
Relationship Ideals
Gender has no bearing on love, only class. Nobles can marry nobles, peasants can marry peasants. Occasionally, someone can "marry up" if they have something valuable, such as land or beauty.
