The only people who know what Rasmus looks like are those who knew him before becoming Seer. The robes and Umbra Veil completely conceal his appearance.

The Sight

Rasmus may have been born with more of the Sight than others, but the Golden Baptism fully opened his potential to see much of the Tapestry of Fate. He can quite clearly see the past and unfolding events as they happen, able to hone in on specific memories the closer he is to a person. He is able to glimpse into the most plausible futures based on current happenings with relative clarity. However, he cannot see every possibility, as they are far too numerous to comprehend, the Umbra Veil shielding them away to protect his sanity.

The Umbra Veil

The Umbra Veil is part of the Seer's ceremonial uniform, a symbol of leadership, but serves a greater purpose. It assists the wearer in controlling the Seer's augmented Sight. Because the Seer's eyes are opened to a greater spectrum of the Tapestry, it can be overwhelming to see it constantly weaving and changing, always hearing voices of everyone around. It has been known to drive lesser people into madness. The veil works as blinders, to help the Seer focus on one person or thing at a time.

Early Life

Rasmus Belkov was born to nobles Sir Rozanov and Lady Lenora. Lenora was a close relative to Emperor Kratoch, who was fond of Rasmus. He grew up in a devout family that followed The Order of Martalia.
Because of his wealth and connections, Rasmus was given special treatments, even when he was taken by the Order as he showed signs of magic. He lacked in his studies and was not very well received by the other mage children at the Sanctuary. When he showed signs of being able to see Fate Lines, he was promptly tested and put into an elite program when it became clear that he did have the Sight.
Here, Rasmus was able to become close to Seer Kanzda. Rasmus knew he was destined to become the next Seer, so he studied under Kanzda every chance he could. His studies improved, and he became more accepted by the other children. His tenacity and self preservation helped him to get ahead of other prospects for Seer.

The Prophetess

When the Glass War erupted, Rasmus had become a protege to Kandza, who fueled the fires of war.
Rasmus saw the unfolding of the fighting from the shadows of his master. He even assisted Kanzda in convincing Emperor Kratoch into allowing missionaries to travel the Thandava, despite the certainty of war.
During the war, Order Paladins secured an ancient Order artifact while in Thandava. It was a torn out page of the fabled Tome of Fallon, one of Martalia's inner circle and one of the first Seers. High Clerics were able to create a new healing spell from it, but Kanzda saw bigger plans. It meant that there was an entire Tome somewhere, and other legendary artifacts of the prophetess' Order were real as well.
The most prominent artifact Kanzda set his sights on was the Sol Blade, which the prophetess wielded, a gift from the goddess. Before he is able to unveil much of his plan to the Order and the Emperor, Kratoch is assassinated. With his sight, he foresees that the war will end soon, and he is to die.
Before that comes to pass, Kanzda instructs his High Clerics to perform the Golden Baptism on Rasmus. Then, he mysteriously vanishes.
The High Clerics perform the Golden Baptism on Rasmus, unlocking his full potential to see the Tapestry of Fate. He is named the new Seer.

Seer

Even though the Seer is meant to be a blank slate for the goddess to speak to with the Tapestry, giving up their past identity, Rasmus continues to work towards his own goals.
Rasmus is revealed to be the most powerful Seer in decades. With his sight and the fragment of the Tome of Fallon, he is able to accurately find the book's location. From there, he believes he will be able to find all Order artifacts and locate the Sol Blade.
Even though the new High Council of the Empire does not outright allow him to go anywhere, he acts behind their backs. They do not wish to start a civil war during this delicate period, and try not to step on his toes too much. Rasmus is able to continue his predecessors legacy without much resistance, not caring for having permission.
However, the new Empress, with her spies, always gets in the way, even with his Sight. Even though she has no real power in the government, she is his biggest obstacle, working in the shadows against him.

Motivation

Rasmus seeks to find the lost goddess, Sol, by any means necessary. He believes he will be the Seer to do so, to bring about a new age of light to Emryne.
A part of him believes himself to be divine, a match for the treacherous Lun.

Likes & Dislikes

Rasmus enjoys hot tea, and has a bit of a sweet tooth. He always has candies on him to give out. He likes to socialize, finding it a little funny when people are nervous around him. He does enjoy joking around, even during important meetings.
He dislikes having to oversee everything, preferring to take things into his own hands. He does not like warmer climates, so he avoids traveling south if he can help it. He does not care much for people who cannot fend for themselves, despite his position as a spiritual leader.

Virtues & Personality perks

Rasmus is very self sufficient, and tries to do what he can on his own. If it will further his goal, there is nothing he will not do. He never shows his weak side, under any circumstance.
People tend to think of Seer Rasmus as charismatic, always knowing the right thing to say. He is surprisingly warm and welcoming, despite his status and intimidating Seer robes. His aura draws people in, allowing him to focus is Sight on them.

Vices & Personality flaws

Rasmus tends to be too reliant on his Sight. While he can see the future and past, he can only really see actions and facts. He lacks in interpenetrating feelings and the unpredictable nature of people, always under the assumption people will act the way he wants them to. So far, he has mostly been able to manipulate others easily.
He sees people for what they are, rather than what they can be. He tends to buy into preconceived notions and prejudices about races, clouding his judgement.
