The humans of the eastern realms are a savvy and quick paced people. They are known for being practical, and business oriented. They care more about staying on the good side of other races than any religious or cultural creed. Easterners value hard and honest work, often putting in so much effort that they exhaust themselves.

APPEARANCE

The humans of the east have rather stout body types, and because of their relationships, they have a wide range of hair types and skin tones. Their hair tends to be dark brown or black as default, similar to their dark eye color as well.

Names

Children are given names based on a parent name, typically the head of the house. They have the same starting letter or sound, sometimes being given the same name.

Religion

Easterners have the most significant population of agnostics and atheists in Emryne. Even among believers in divinity, they are not active church-goers and worshipers. They may take heed of superstitions, spirits, and ghosts (likely adopted from dwarven neighbors), but tend not to partake in many rituals.
The Order of Martalia is the largest religion in Easterner communities, especially the further north they are. Thanks to the protections of Taieg Valley and the sea, Estea failed in all their attempts at invasion. Instead, they opted for trade treaties, allowing missionaries to pass in as they please.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

While eastern humans can vary greatly, they do prefer the look of slightly darker skin and dark hair. They prefer for people to be well groomed. Easterners are not very shallow when it comes to beauty.

Gender Ideals

Easterners seem to have picked up some ideals from the Northerners. While not as strict, they do still think of women as of the mind and men as of the body. As such, it is usually women in families who take care of finances and men who put on a presentable face.
While they do accept trans individuals, they have a harder time understanding nonbinary genders. They tend to view presentation as gender, and see nonbinary people as people presenting nonbinary. They have made strides towards understanding, however, thanks to their closer relationship with elves and dwarves in mixed areas.

Relationship Ideals

It is always optimal to marry into a wealthier family, or a family with a business that is complimentary. At least, within reason. It is frowned upon in human communities to marry peasants, so it is often difficult for the poor to marry out of their economic class.
