The High Roller

Made by A-Town’s residents and regularly sold in their black market, the High Roller is a fairly uncommon cybernetic prosthetic that replaces one’s arm. Clunky and heavy, the High Roller is a gambling addict’s dream. The upper arm of the High Roller contains a small slot machine that spins by flicking the lever coming out the shoulder or activated by a neurolink connection.

Without any extra modification, the slot machine has three columns and each column has a row of a third of a smile that is completed when all columns roll their part of the smile, a seven, a cherry, and a diamond. Although at its standard form the machine does nothing but give the user something to fidget with and maybe give the user a dopamine rush, the High Roller is a highly modular prosthetic and can be changed to suit the user’s needs. The High Roller’s slot machine can be turned into a glorified switch by hard coding it so that the arm can swap between two different modes, leading to some people having it change between a normal but slightly rustic prosthetic arm and a fairly dangerous weapon, usually by having a hidden gun or blade that pops in and out or some similar concept.
