Subdermic Plating
Subdermic Plating was invented as a way to provide lightweight armor to officers of the law and members of the X-Corp militia. By installing titanium plating underneath the dermis layer of skin, any sustained wounds would have substantially lower chances of being fatal than without the plating. When installed, stability of the plating can be monitored by one’s Neuralink chip appearing in the form of a percentage.
Subdermic Plating is incredibly popular in the cybernetics black markets. People planning on commiting a crime, getting into underground fighting, or simply planning to start a physical alteration are sure to have some amount of Subdermic Plating before starting. As a result of this, prices for the plating have begun to skyrocket and those selling make a fortune off the modification.
