Neurolink

The Neurolink is a superpowered computer chip that gives implanted users access to a computer network through brain-computer interfaces. Developed by Leon Musket, this chip became their biggest step in expanding the power of X-Corp.

The chip itself is attached directly to the brain, and utilizes specialized wiring to be able to speak and relay information through the brain. This allows users to see and interact with “holographic screens” that do not actually exist, as well as hear and perceive information generated by the chip. As research continued, X-Corp worked on ensuring that regular maintenance did not have to be done on the Neurolink by creating a unique battery system that takes in natural brain chemicals and blood from the body as a power source. The Neurolink will automatically trigger messages to the brain to request for extra blood whenever power approaches certain levels. It then transmutes the properties within blood into a usable fuel source for electrical power. Despite the many revisions made to Neurolink over the century, the device is still prone to hacking and EMP waves, making them still a high cause of death. The materials and internal security walls have been improved to avoid this, however, they are still breachable.

As the main source of X-Corp’s power, the company has full access to all the data stored within the chips, which includes personal and sensitive information about users such as banking information, contact lists, and more. Utilizing this informational network, they are able to keep a close eye on denizens on the sly, allowing them to predict and deal with problems before they worsen.
