Cybernetic Researcher & Engineer

During his presidency in 2029 Leon Musket signed into law the Cybernetic and Economic Revival Tax Credit. As a stipulation of this, X-Corp was given free reign to experiment with human cybernetic implants, including their trademark neuralink and other human modifications. Musket began hiring scientists to work as Cybernetic Researchers, discovering the limits of what a human body could tolerate in terms of robotic modifications. This base research continued until 2040, when Musket decided it was time to test these ideas.

In 2040, X-Corp began hiring top engineers to work on creating cybernetic implants for humans. After the prior 10 years of research, the trials ended up being largely successful, creating a new market for cybernetic limbs for those in need.

The tasks for these researchers and engineers continued past this point, with Musket not being satisfied with this initial victory. Researchers and engineers were tasked with pushing the human body to its absolute limit, as well as minimizing the manufacturing costs. Even to the current day in 2200, trials are run on human test subjects, testing compatibility with parts that continually increase in complexity. Researchers have theorized that there is a point where the technology will completely take over the brain, creating a state of madness in those who reach their breaking point, but X-Corp top brass refuse that anything of the sort could exist. Musket often sites himself as an example of there being no limit, though it’s hard to say how much of a human he still is if the only organic part of his body remaining is his brain.
