“If you want dirty work done, CGC is the place to go. Those rats will do anything so long as they get paid in full.” - X-Corp Employee

catalyzerg0ld.core (CGC) is an online forum and job hub for freelance hackers. The domain name came from the founding creator of the hub, Core Reaper, a famous hacker who was renowned for extracting sensitive data from highly protected servers globally. Core came from their name, and the title Catalzyer G0ld was based around the idea that hackers were catalysts for change, whether for better or worse, and all it would take is a little “gold” to start the reaction.

This hub is fully anonymous and protected by advanced firewalls to prevent data leaks. The codes written by Core Reaper are advanced to the point where even the most highly rated hackers in the hub could barely bypass the first wall of protection. The hacker themself is assumed dead, as they created the website prior to the establishment of X-City. However due to the updates constantly being made, rumors have been made throughout the forums page of Core Reaper having possibly set up an AI program trained on their own skill to continue managing and improving the website autonomously.

Those who use the site as freelance workers are called catalyzers, and for every job completed successfully, their level on the site increases. The higher the level, the more experience and reliability they have. The maximum level is 60, and levels will automatically decrease after a set period of time without successful job submissions.

Job postings are mildly moderated, but overall, anything can be submitted. The most dangerous jobs revolve around hacking systems to either obtain sensitive data, assist in infiltration missions, or even hit missions, in which hacking can help incapacitate targets they need to eliminate.
