Axion Robot

Axion Robots are humanoid service robots produced by X-Corp, designed to be highly configurable and able to perform any task. Originally created for public use in 2031, they have since become widespread throughout X-City, with every establishment and middle/upper-class citizen typically having at least one Axion assistant. There are several Axion upgrade packages available for purchase that provide specialized attachments, including weapons, kitchenware, and other miscellaneous toolkits. In an attempt to increase military efficiency while cutting costs, X-Corp's private defense branch have been supplemented with combat-capable Axion robots as well. The lucrative success of these robots has also spurred on several other robot lines from X-Corp, including a series of programmable pets and service animals.

By contrast, their presence in the poorer sections of the city, particularly A-Town, is quite rare; few residents can afford to purchase or maintain one. However, Axion models stolen by gangs like the Scrap Angels are either dismantled for parts or reprogrammed with third-party firmware to assist with gang operations.

While many see Axion robots as symbols of innovation and progress, others view them as harbingers of economic disparity. Their widespread adoption has displaced workers and deepened societal divides, with economic satisfaction and X-City employment levels down since the 21st century. Yet for wealthier clientele, Axion robots remain an indispensable part of daily life.
