Frybread
Frybread is a great, fairly simple bread that takes little effort to make.
The ingredients are as follows:
240g of flour
250ml of warm water
7g (or heaping teaspoon) of baking powder
Pinch of salt (optional)
500ml of Canola or Vegetable oil (or preferred cooking oil)
{also add more if needed.}
Mix the Baking powder together with the salt and flour, then add the warm water. Mix with your hands and add water if need be. (this step is fairly messy and gooey) You should have a bread-dough like texture.
The frying process is also fairly simple:
Use cooking oil, put it in a frying pan on high until it is hot, then turn the oil down to medium.
Make little flat patties of the dough about 7-10 cm (3-4 inches) across and gently put them in the hot oil, fry them until golden brown and flip, frying the other side until golden brown as well.
et voila!
