Candle-flame Script Lichen
Candle-flame Script Lichen is a curious species of lichen that grows in Rolan's Grove. It is used primarily in the creation of spell scrolls for the Evocation School of Magic. Able to be ground down and used as ink for these spell scrolls, its red hue and fiery warmth is perfect for Evocation spells.
The lichen itself is warm to the touch. White with veins of bright red that if you look closely seem to be a language of sorts, though undiscernible which language it is. The script at points seems to be alive.
As many plants in Rolan's Grove, they originated in Rolan's Garden. Finding them outside of the garden is tricky, but not difficult. They grow on trees, primarily blue pine, usually facing south.
These lichen are sought after by many magic shops, The Unicorn Strand included. If you can bring one to Lyrilla in Erith, she will pay well for a sample, live or not. The ablility to tell if the lichen is still able to be propigated is if its still warm.
