Plot points/Scenes

1. A Brave New World...
  1. {17th of January, 2030} Meta vs. Stellar Knight I: Following Roy Reynard's last minute point based victory, earning him the leadership position of Talon, Mikka Summors feels once more overlooked. Despite her massive success when it's come to hunting down the underground cells of both the disavowed Phalanx and rouge Pandora, the position was only contested between those inside Talon; an organization formed from the dying embers of Phalanx. She and her supporters demand that she be given a chance to prove she could be a leader equal to or even surpass Roy. Roy and the others accept setting up a challenge between the two held inside the arena. The two compete in a three round contest the winner of which being declared by winning the majority of the rounds by points or being the last person standing after the completion of the contest. Roy is declared the winner of the first round by a narrow but respectable margin. Mikka is declared the winner of the second round by an extremely narrow margin by result of extreme review, as it's initially declared a tie. Mikka puts together that Roy is about to emerge victorious by scoring the last amount of points he needs and she makes a dramatic cut off signaling the first time all contest the two have put their hands on one another finally exploding into a brawl. Roy saw coming the fact she might resolve to use violence and defends against her initial assault. After a brief exchange Mikka destroys the items Roy needed to win making his only path to victory through her. The fight breaks back out again and Mikka turns up her intensity surprising Roy who didn't expect to see this level of offense. His strongest defenses are quickly overwhelmed and for the first time in the series his aura breaks after a particularly brutal headbutt from Mikka that also cracks her celestial plate helm. He drops to the ground barely conscious as she herself is dazed. Roy begins to cast aura shield again to protect himself but she picks him back up by his collar and headbutts him again, just barely able to recast her celestial plate helm again. This second brutal shot to his unprotected head all but kills him and the arena count begins to sound off, but Mikka acting on pure instinct like a shark that smells blood in the water, charges up and hits Roy point blank with her big bad killer move keeping the blast up until her legs give out and she falls back. (A visual for her desperation to win. When she begins her big final blast the front portion of her body is protected by her celestial plate, but the longer she holds the blast the more armor she uncasts using the ether to instead keep the blast active. When the attack ends she's clearly suffering from visible heavy etheric burns and scarring across the parts of her body she either left exposed or choose to expose from the blast back of her own attack. The result was worth her sacrifice as Roy couldn't protect himself and was defeated. {OUTCOME} After assuming the role of leader Mikka uses the resources at her disposal to begin the end of The Occult Wars. With the Demihuman cat out of the proverbial bag, Mikka declares that she and the operatives of Talon will take whatever action necessary to end the escalating hostilities between Phalanx and Pandora refusing to allow the two sides to use Earth as their battlegrounds. This is initially met with a positive reaction and she along with the help of her operatives end all military actions between the two warring sides, as they decide that this newly invigorated Talon is a much bigger threat. With the pressure of leadership off his shoulders and the loss of the major public spotlight Roy is finally able to relax for the first time in years. He's able to assess himself and come to terms with the fact that while Savannah Ordeux trusted him to run Talon, he was never a good fit for the role. However the manner in which Mikka won eats away at not just him but the other main heroes as well. Roy doesn't believe in challenging the ruling as he doesn't wish to return to the job, but as the war appears to be reaching it's crescendo he doesn't believe Mikka is a good fit for the role as well. Furthermore he begins to doubt if Talon is even necessary.

Roy tells her that she's cracking under the same pressure that threatened to break him, and she needs to step down or they will make her. Mikka relates back to their recent conversations about the state of the world and what being a hero means, she once more claims her intent to be the greatest hero of all time and claims that if they don't stand down, they will be declared enemies of Talon and she will detain them. A moment of tension holds in the air, as many of these agents have worked together before, and the fight erupts. Despite being the committed Talon Agents are able to put up a terrifying fight, mainly due to Roy's split attention between trying to keep his friends safe, as that the Watch was never meant to be a powerhouse group. With a bit of ingenuity, Mikka is able to tire Roy early making sure that he stays busy protecting everyone from their heavy offense, allowing Mikka to shift into her second gear for the fight and begins to whittle down the numbers of NeighborHood Watch. As they begin to fall Roy forces himself into action and reengages Talon able to catch them off guard and cut their offense off. Roy and Sindu Atma hold them off while Kyle Bronson heals the other two members. Talon members being to surrender seeing how brutal the fight is becoming and soon only a few absolute loyalists remain. Mikka's growing frustration gets the better of her and she incapacitates Roy a second time and stares down a defiant Sindu and Kyle. A slightly recovered Daniella restores Roy with her ether and he's able to join his friends' side just before Mikka and the fellow loyalists would've killed them (with her third attempt to hit her big bad super move). Mikka tries one more desperate attack to defeat them all but doesn't have the ether to maintain it and goes into etheric shock and the Watch detains her as Roy transfers her position to himself and folds Stellar Talon into the NeighborHood Watch. The new NeighborHood watch is able to defeat and detain the last members of Panoply and the Fellowship over the next several months and bring an end to the war. The two sides have a long fight with Roy on the receiving end for most of it, constantly being cut off by the much more offensive and relentless Mikka.
