False Balance

False Balance is a fairly interesting disease. It cannot be pinpointed on exactly where the problem occurs, but it might have to do with the way it keeps the body stable. Curiously, those effected by false balance often don't see much use in doing anything. While the condition doesn't negatively affect the body, it affects the mind and can either cause heavily antisocial behavior in trying to bring about change and balance or it can cause the person affected to not care so much about life if it all leads to nothing, with results in the person sitting around and wasting away.

Causes

Consumption of too much Neuterstasis, a painkiller and mood stabilizer. About 10 tablets in 2 hours is considered too much, and commonly leads to false balance.

Symptoms

• Loss of awareness (common)
• Sudden desire for balance (common)
• False sense of enlightenment (common)
• Some form of antisocial behavior, such as trying to start riots and not caring about others for the sake of balance (common)
• *Uncharacteristic choices in wishing to be androgynous (fairly uncommon)
• No longer caring about taking care of oneself (uncommon)
• Disassociation (uncommon to rare)
• Depersonalization (uncommon to rare)
• Believing to be the bringer of balance (uncommon to rare)
• Wishing to stop wars, topple governments, and evening out the class distinction (varies from common to rare, depends on the degree)

Treatment

While there is no direct cure, therapy to make one believe in necessary evils is available. One would have to get other medicines for the other symptoms, as well as having to recover from the overdose.

Prognosis

Depending on how much Neuterstasis is consumed in the 2 hour period may affect how bad the condition becomes and how much the patient believes in what their symptoms have caused them to realize. If it is a low dosage, 1-3 symptoms occur, and the higher the dosage become, the more symptoms occur and the stronger they become.

Sequela

Disassociation and depersonilization may still persist after the condition has been "helped," but this may be for other reasons. False Balance cannot be completely cured, per say, but it may be lessened to an extent to where one might try peaceful protests before drastic behavior. The uncharacteristic wish to be androgynous may still persist, but it may turn into a whole-hearted wish to be non-binary and will be no longer uncharacteristic.
