We've always believed we're alone.
This couldn't be further from the truth.
Earth is but one facet, one dimension, one world in the World Tree, and even within the confines of our own world/dimension exists a wealth of races who range from completely non-human Paras to Legacies, most of whom are human-Para hybrids. Since 1385, these beings have been divided into two main groups -- the Covenant-bound, who follow strict rules about hiding themselves from discovery as much as possible, by blending into our world wherever and however they can, and the Dark Court, who are determined to cause as much death, destruction, and havoc as they can to the human world, all in the name of power, greed, and gluttony.
Guardians, Incorporated
No one knew what would become of the curse placed upon the bloodline of Elena Garadin in 1625 by a dangerous Necromancer, who cursed her and her descendants to forever struggle for love and balance between the worlds of humanity and the Para. Not until Jason Guardian left the priesthood of the Catholic Church, disillusioned by the evils he saw done in the name of Jehova, and turned instead to his family's first calling, to be the voice and watchdogs of the Para community. With the partnership of Matthew Raleigh, Jason formed Guardians, Incorporated -- a Para-centered detective/protection agency -- and broke the curse by turning it into a blessing for the frightened, abused, and in-danger Para, all over the world. The men and women who work for him and his family have only one mission -- keep the Covenant and those Para who abide by it safe from the evils in the world -- whether Para or human. No one expected that love would be their ultimate power, or their brightest beacon.
Project Prometheus
Formed under Matthew Raleigh's watchful command, the Prometheans come from every walk of life, and the members of this mercenary organization have one thing in common. They've all sworn an oath to expose, infiltrate, thwart, and destroy the plans and people responsible for terrorist activity and human suffering, and removing darkness from the world wherever they can. To accomplish this goal, Prometheans are sworn to sacrifice their freedom, and even their lives. Their task is to bring light to the darkest corners of the world -- no matter the cost to themselves.
The Demonslayer Chronicles
When Peter Jamison married Lynn Reynolds, neither knew they were creating a Legacy family meant to bring an ancient prophecy to fruition, or that the cost of doing so would mean orphaning the very children around whom the prophecy centered.
