Wildfae

The Wildfae are a rumor. It is said that some places in the Weald have creatures as intelligent as humans, but very different, more closely tied to primal power than humans are. Perhaps even physical manifestations of primal spirits. These wildfae take many forms - satyrs, dryads, minotaurs, centaurs, nymphs, and gryffons, unicorns, etc. People who believe in the existence of such creatures say that they have crossed into our world from some place else.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Although there is no organized wildfae institution in our world, wise travelers are careful when in the woods and cliffs that are rumored to be claimed by wildfae, and families who live in the areas say they maintain careful relations with them. The Wealding government mostly ignores this, but some creative diplomats and strategists are trying to enlist their support of the nation and bind their future to the Weald.
