Hellish Cults and lore of the Seven Hells

Hellish Cults: A worship of the lords of sin and the god of sin himself. The hellish cults only acknowledge the figures in the divine church pantheon, but dedicate all of their religious practices to interacting abs dealing with demonic forces from the seven hells.   Lore of the Seven Hells:   Seven unholy realms, each corrupted and tortured into a twisted and cruel version of what they once were by the tyrant god of sin, the dark lord Malum. He reveled in his bastardization of what they once were, transforming each to correspond with a different tenet of the seven sins, almost as if a kind of sick game. He created seven dark lords to rule over them, and gave unto each of them a throne in which to both make a mockery of themselves and their subjects, as well as assert their dominance over their respective unholy kingdoms.   Seven Lords of Sin:   Wrath: A being of pure unbridled rage and destruction. Wrath is regarded as a being that could replace ten armies single handedly. A being more akin to a destructive force of nature, he destroys all he comes across. He mindlessly devastates any and all in his way, and thusly is feared by all demon kind. Wrath is seen as a being often engulfed in flame, with 2 large protruding horns from his brow. He has large wings and a massive stature, as well as strong hind legs that end in hooves. His tail ends in a pitchfork like formation, of which has two long prongs the size of spears. He wields a giant, twin sided flaming axe, of which he uses to cleave and devastate those unlucky enough to enrage him. To any who should hear his roar of rage, may your devastation be swift.   Lust: Lust rules over her falsely beautiful realm of roses with ease as her demons do anything to acquire her touch. She is said to be more beautiful than even angels yet her beauty is vastly upset by her cruel, manipulative, and sadistic personality. She is a pale and beautiful woman, with perfectly flowing black hair and piercing ember red eyes. Her body is the definition of seduction, and not a single blemish pervades her body. The only part of her to be inhuman, is her two small horns that protrude from her head. She is incredibly powerful in terms of magic and charm, but her physical capabilities lack in respects to the other demon lords. She utilizes her beauty to taunt and bewitch others into doing her bidding, and isn’t afraid to give in to her own innate desires as well. Her lustful desires often involve the suffering of others and on occasion herself, with acts of such sickening depravity that it would make any mortal weep.   Sloth: A being residing in an eternal lazy stupor. He sits on a mountain of his own excrement, unwilling to move from his sickening throne of rotted filth, crawling with flies, maggots and other vermin. Sloth is a grotesquely overweight humanoid being, with bulging lumps of fat and flesh grossly overhanging his disproportionate body. Two thick horns curl into themselves above his skull, and his eye sockets are closed due to the bulbous layers of fat upon his face, leaving him effectively blind. His fat is so precedent, that his limbs are almost indistinguishable from his malformed fleshy lump of a body. His realm is virtually impenetrable, due to the nature of it, and as such most demons avoid it, lest they drown for eternity in the seas of filth and rot.   Gluttony: The lord of overindulgence is a grotesque creature. He is skinny as if starving, his bones protruding from his thin tight skin. He has two heads upon his torso, each with a set of curved horns that extend backwards from his brows. His cheeks and lower lips on both heads drop down to hang over his scrawny necks, both filled with rows of sharp teeth. His tentacle-like tongues snake food into their respective mouths, spooning anything and everything into them, only for the other head to vomit it back out, leaving him in a state of constant ravenous hunger upon his throne.   Greed: A mostly human visage describes Greed well, apart from his small protruding horns. Greed in appearance is a well trimmed and attractive man with dark hair and piercing red eyes, as well as a stunning natural physique. He has an extra pair of arms that extend from his torso. Greed is well known for his cunning and intelligence, and he uses it to disuade the other lords from attacking his realm through promises, deals, and alliances. He is so well with words, that it is said that he even charmed the infamous Lust, and they have been “lovers” ever since. He is deeply possessive about his belongings, and will stop at nothing to acquire all that there is. He sits upon a beautiful and lavish throne, of which is said to cause immense pain to any who would sit upon it- including Greed.   Pride: A dark and looming figure covered in piercings and assorted jewelry, Pride is the embodiment of selfishness and vanity. His appearance is that of an incredibly tall and slender angelic figure, with well groomed, tar-black hair and broad feathered wings that protrude from his back and dissipate into black smoke at their ends. Pride seeks the conquering of the seven realms of hell, as he believes he deserves it. He has immense power compared to the other lords of sin, but often opts not to use it as he sees it has beneath him to fully show his power to lesser beings. He sits upon the largest of the hellish thrones, but rules over the fewest subjects.   Envy: The lady of jealousy, the hag queen, lady envy, seeks out the destruction of all others who retain something that she doesn’t. Envy is the weakest of the lords of sin, and hates all happiness that isn’t her own. Envy is hideously ugly, as well as horribly evil. She is an old and balding woman, with red warted skin and long black claws. Her arms resemble bat wings, and feet end in horrible talons. What little hair she has is uneven and a dull black, with knots and random curls. She is said to be the creator of hags and witchcraft, and desires to utilize them to destroy all happiness in existence through tricks, corruption, and lies.     Seven Realms of Hell:     Realm of Wrath: a place of chaotic and destructive fire storms, erupting volcanoes, earthquakes, and toxic gas. The realm of wrath is completely uninhabitable by mortal beings, and many demons as well. The demons that do survive in this wasteland, are even more violent than the environment. The realm of wrath is surrounded on all sides by jagged mountain peaks, apart from one clearing that is fortified by a large black metal wall that brands any who would touch it due to its constant heating from the hot wasteland. It is eternal chaos, where pain and rage are a part of life. Demons are known to sate their bloodlust here, waging pointless wars against one another endlessly, and ripping anything they find to pieces.   Realm of Lust: the realm of deceptive beauty and allurement. The realm of lust is a place of poisonous rose covered meadows, of which within various garden-like structures are built. The gardens is a maze-like place inhabited by chained mortal women and men, of whom are raped and violated, as well as the many more lust oriented demons. It is a place of endless defilement, rape, and dark desire, where demons derive sexual pleasure from the suffering and torment of lesser beings.   Realm of Sloth: a place of disgusting hills of filth. The land itself is covered in excrement, which makes the ground soft and difficult to move across, and in some places like an ocean. The realm seeps energy away from whomever may enter here, making every action a daunting one. Nothing is usually awake here, and should they be awake, they only lull around or lie still in the rot. Regardless of if a creature eats here, it still feels the need to defecate, forcing creatures to sleep in their own feces. The place lulls most that travel into it into a deep sleep or lazed state. Even the most energetic of individuals can become exhausted and lazy. The true dangers, are what await those who fall asleep, as they will enter never ending nightmares, to suffer until they perish from their dreams, or drown in filth.   Realm of Gluttony: a disgusting and putrid place, with seas of moving worms and insects, all consuming one another endlessly. No plant life exists, as it was all consumed long ago. All that is left is barren stone plateaus that protrude from the seas of moving demonic insects and vermin, laden with ravenous demons, consuming everything they come across. The plain itself makes creatures hungry, to the point of driving beings mad and desiring to eat anything that might sate their unnatural appetites.   Realm of Greed: a barren place, with no plant life whatsoever, and air filled with thick black smog. Seas of boiling tar separate stone islands, flat and dull, with various cracks and abrasions strewn across them. Metal ships sail these black seas, rowed by tortured slaves, for the purposes of piracy, trade, and theft. On the largest island, Greed’s palace lain surrounded by what is refereed to as greed’s market. In this market, demons trade and bargain over magical artifacts with mortal souls as currency. The market is full of thieves and deceit, but none dare to take that which is claimed by Greed himself, lest he take them as one of his personal possessions.   Realm of Pride: the realm of pride is a place of dim light and darkness. The only light that is seen here stems from smoldering embers and fire that dots the rocky landscape. Weak demons wander this darkness, searching for others that may be weaker to deal suffering to. The mirrored palace rests in the center, larger than any other structure within Hell. It is a palace of beauty and extravagance, filled with enslaved lesser demons to serve the powerful Pride as he sees fit. One can not see there own reflection here, of which when reminded about, only enrages Pride.   Realm of Envy: a putrid blood soaked swamp full of morbidity and depravity. The realm of envy is filled with carnivorous trees that all protrude from a shallow and flat pool of blood and tar that is the landscape. All that exists besides this, are the demons that fight over the bitter fruits of the trees, of which all are identical. In the direct center of the realm, rests a single tree, larger than all the others, of which is the tree castle in which lady Envy resides, plotting her destruction of everything in existence through spells and black magic. Corpses of attractive and or accomplished men, woman, and children hang from the tree’s thorny branches, and most demons steer clear of it in fear that they have something worth envying over.     General Demon Information:     Demon names: A name to a demon is an incredibly powerful thing. Should a mortal know a demon’s name, and the proper ritual, a mortal can summon it into the mortal realm. Not only this, but a demon can not go by another name, or they will simply cease to exist. This is untrue for the lords of sin, as they can go by the sin they represent, but their true names still hold great power. Even in a state of madness, a demon will always remember their name. They do not speak their name lightly, and only in rare circumstances will they tell a mortal of their title, as most demons that are summoned are often forced to do the summoners bidding through black magic. Lesser demon names are often sold by more powerful demons to mortals so that a lesser demon can be enslaved and summoned by them.   Demon creation: Demons are spawned from mortal souls at the center of the seven hells within Malum’s domain. Those that die of sin, are slain by demons, or are tempted by demonic bargains, are often harvested by demonic entities and placed within whatever realm of hell that best encompasses their greatest sins. They are then tortured in various ways by demons, and the more broken a soul becomes the more it wanders closer to the center of the seven hells. Once a soul brakes completely, of which usually happens within Malum’s domain, the process to become a demon begins to transpire. The type and or power of the demon they become, is dependent on the duration of time it takes for a soul to break, and how they were broken. The longer the soul stands resilient, the more powerful, evil, and dangerous the demon becomes.   Demon offspring: Although incredibly rare, it is possible for a demon to impregnate a mortal. When this happens, the offspring is often times stillborn, but there has been cases of the child surviving. The mother always dies, as the child feeds off of the soul of its parent. When this happens, the mortal child is granted longer lasting life, enhanced physical prowess, increased regenerative properties, and natural skill in magic. These half-breeds retain a stronger urge to commit sin, and are often times feared because of it. Their outward appearance does not resemble a demon, but demonic traits such as horns or wings can sometimes appear when they are under stress or consumed by sin. A half-breed will always retain an unnatural and magical desirability and or allurement that can influence mortals behavior towards them, making them the target of lust, desirability, hatred, envy, etc. They are magically enchanted to be both hated and sinfully desired.     Heptagram Glyphs and Ichor:   Demon Ichor: Demon Ichor, or just Ichor, is the blood of a demon. Ichor, if done properly, can be injected in to a mortal’s bloodstream, which can grant them temporary magical and potentially physical abilities that go away after a period of time. Ichor is highly addictive, and potentially extremely dangerous to the mortal body, but is used commonly by many mages and cultists for its affects. Depending on the type of demon blood, there can be physical side affects such as loss of skin, the sudden growth of horns or a tail, or most commonly the sudden change of the user’s eye pigmentation. Not only this, but while Ichor is in the bloodstream, user’s have been known to experience a higher compulsion to commit sin or do wrong, especially in whatever they already might desire.   Heptagram Glyphs: Summoners can use all manor of glyphs to summon beings from other plains of existence, or teleport between them, but heptagram glyphs relate to the seven plains of hell. Such glyphs look like a seven pointed star, and must be drawn with ichor. These glyphs are most often drawn upon the body, of which once completed correctly, will brand the user’s flesh permanently. Once this is done, a summoner can summon a demon at the cost of either their own blood, or another’s, but the more powerful the demon being summoned, the more blood that it will cost. The name of the demon being summoned is also required to complete the process, and should the demon’s name be spoken incorrectly, the process will likely kill the summoner. Demons can be summoned in other ways, but this ritual must be performed to best control the demon.
