Dragon Fever
Overview>
Creates and avorious and lust for gold above all else.
Transmission & Vectors
The origin cause is unknown, but it has been verified Infected gold transmits the virus to other gold objects. Often contaminated to prolonged exposure to a greedy dragon hoard.
Causes
Legend says Gold has the power to instill greed in its owner; when a Dragon talks about gold in close proximity, and for an extended duration, the gold absorbs this avorice.
Dragons are very greedy in this way, and so the gold must have "absorbed" some of their greed to instill a similar reaction in others.
the larger the quantity or more prolonged exposure the harder it is to resist the sickness.
Symptoms
Seems to begin with a sense of uncontrolled interest in anything gold. From Sunshine to hair color to the need to search for such items of splendor. Symptoms of distrust and obsession become more and more obvious with prolonged exposure. To the point of distrust even concerning the most trusted of allies and friends.
Treatment
Disbursement of the infected gold and removal of the inflicted from close proximity to the contaminated gold. The duration at double the exposure rate.
For gold coins and objects, close contact or immersion in silver at double the rate of the infected value for a period double the length of the exposure to the avorice.
For people remove in feet distance at double the rate of infection in gp value. 100gp of infected gold value would have to be relocated and dispersed at least 200 feet with effected restrained from re-collection of the horde for an equal number of days. (200 in this example) or a Remove Disease performed by the appropriate cleric at caster level of 1 +1level per 1000gp value of inflection.
Prognosis
While not directly fatal, the accusations and distrust become so abhorrent that even the closest ally is suspect. This often leads to confrontations of their own.

A Will save of DC 10 will be required in any such situation to avoid making a scene.
