Vampire

A powerful race of undead lords who rule over portions of the Shadowfell and parts of the Earth Chaos and Air Chaos.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

They reproduce by killing other Humanoids, which will keep their appearance but become a lesser form of vampire, which can then become true vampires through an unknown mechanism.

Growth Rate & Stages

They don't grow, and don't age until killed.

Ecology and Habitats

They prefer darkness, and can live in the light, but don't like it, as it hurts them, leaving them to like the Elemental Chaoses, since even the Air Chaos does not have true sunlight, and the Shadowfell.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They like eating blood, and depending on the vampire they prefer different types of blood.

Social Structure

Each True Vampire controls an amount of land and what are variably known as Vampire Spawn, Lesser Vampires, or Vampire Servants, which have their minds bound to the True Vampire.  Between True Vampires the more powerful the vampire is, which is determined by their power in life, age, lands owned, and Vampire Servants they own.

They live mostly in the Earth Chaos, Air Chaos, or Shadowfell.

Average Intelligence

They are usually very intelligent.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They can see in pitch darkness through unknown mechanisms.

Creating new True Vampires is considered taboo and advised against.

History

The first Vampire was created after Vampiron killed a Night Hag who offended him, which rose as the first True Vampire.  From their, the vampire race spred, with the vampires killing others and transforming them into True Vampires accidentally, and spreading like that.  Different Vampires got their own lands, and eventually nearly all of the Shadowfell was controlled by different Vampires.

They lord their power over all other species that they are more powerful than, and dislike bowing to more powerful races, but will if necessary.
