Air Chaos

An endless plane of air with hurricanes that can blow through in seconds or overtake an area for millennia, the sky the Destruction Chaos, and beneath it an ocean, the Water Chaos.

Geography

The area is a large fiery red sky. Where it borders the Water Chaos mist and fog is kicked up, which sometimes coalesce into clouds higher in the sky. The surface of the Water Chaos is considered the "bottom" of the plane, since gravity pulls that way, and at the top of the plane the Destruction Chaos roils with air, smoke and ash billowing out. The thickness of this Chaos varies wildly, with parts where the Water Chaos and Destruction Chaos nearly touch, and parts where they can't be seen even on the clearest "day". Day and night here is determined by how bright the Destruction Chaos glows, how much fire is on the border. It is somewhat regular, with "days" and nights here lasting between three and five days in the World of Mortals. This Chaos contains different regions of all types of air. All areas are breathable by Humanoids, but some of them have different properties, such as different colors, inducing mood changes, affecting gravity, and many more. Areas where the Destruction Chaos and Water Chaos come close to meeting, large storms and hurricanes form, which can sweep across the plane, rearranging and destroying cities and patches of air.

Fauna & Flora

Many Air Elementals, birds, Aarakocra, Humans, Tieflings, Tabaxi, Sprites, and Elves, which create both flying cities in the sky and cities floating on the surface of the Water Chaos.
