Twin Pillars Chaldron

Twin Pillars Chaldron created by digging out a particularly rich vein of Gold. What was initially a long journey home with gold laiden beasts was soon turned into a small mining town and from there it grew into a proper chaldron, supported by two massive pillars of naturally formed steel crystal. These pillars hold up the world and protect the people of the chaldron. Since expansion began the chaldron uncovered fantastic wealth, gems stones of a stunning variety and gold veins thick as a pregnant dwarf stonemason encouraged a maze of tunnels that would open up into homes and sculptures. During Dragon occupation much of the wealth was taken, but in the centuries since the chaldron has grown and in it's ever expanding wake dwarven jewelers and metalsmiths have created stunning works of beauty that reveal the veins in their glory, carefully chipped around and gently sculpted and polished to give the impression of a river through the empty spaceas between buildings.  
It's seperation from the rest of the Northern Realms was barely noticed by the community which had severed ties in the decades before to prevent a great sadness in their absence should the dragons change their minds. so cut off from the rest of the world the Twin Pillars Chadron was built to withstand incursion from a vareity of enemies and contains itself as a soverign nation, recognized by certain other under developed or small nations nearby. In the centuries since it's initial rebellion tunnels leading to their chaldron were collpased under the order of the Lord Halv'and and the wealth of the dwarven nation overwhelmed the neighbors willing to deal with them.
