Bobby Weatherbottom
It seems like our little project in Gary has raised some suspicions. We need to find Sammy Harris.
Notorious hacker from the early forum days of the internet, Weatherbottom would go by the moniker HURRICANE and would use his natural knack of technology to hit the weak early defences of corporate intranet structures. This would catch the attention of the Chicago Camarilla. Seeing potential in the young computer whizz, Prince Lodin would groom Bobby - subtly push him towards his foes. The new technological push proved to be lucrative for Lodin's operations and soon he planned on embracing Weatherbottom - this would be taken from him by a raving Malkavian who began to stalk Weatherbottom.
Bobby rarely talks about his sire, he would merely say they were mad. But if those were to monitor Weatherbottom's search algorithms, they would find an uptick in terms such as Weave, Destiny, Lake Michigan, The Lady of the Lake, Dark Mother, Moonchilde - after his embrace.
Weatherbottom would work directly under Lodin, but his tainted lineage saw him as a disused toy within the court. He would find this agreeable, the solitude and freedom afforded him time to move forward with his own schemes. After the War of Chicago, when Lodin fell, Weatherbottom would continue working with the Camarilla - in particular seemingly having a connection with member of the Wolf Pack, Owen Salone.
Weatherbottom would go dark for a long time until eventually re-emerging outside of Chicago. He would take Betty Roach from the institution she had been committed to. He would keep her under lock and key within the Illinois woods where he would embrace her. He would keep his childe close and locked away from the outside world. He would go on mad rants about her destiny and how she had been chosen, but circumstances prevented this. He would call her Moonchilde.
Eventually, Bobby would re-emerge within Chicago - Betty in tow. He would re-ingratiate himself with the Camarilla, though he would act as a double agent - feeding information to the Anarchs. Ultimately though, it would prove that Bobby's goals were far more ambitious than this.
When the Undecided Coterie would form in Gary, Indiana - they would investigate the disappearance of journalist Crispin Perez. What they would discover is that Horratio Ballard's shell company, Helix, had sold their holdings within Gary Indiana to an unknown party. This unknown party involving Bobby Weatherbottom. Crispin Perez would discover this through the Anarch neonate - Sammy Harris. When the leak had been discovered, Sammy was manipulated to attack Perez and kill the story. Unfortunately, this bought Bobby's childe and her coterie into the web of conspiracy.
Weatherbottom would trap Betty once more and tell her of the truth. He would tell her that he is working with others start a new governance in Gary - though they need to get rid of the Anarchs. Bobby used his connections with the various cells of the Anarch movement to stage a meeting between all parties at the old mill, while also leaking that information to elderly hunter Sullivan Dane. The result would be Betty's coterie mate, Ted, arriving at the Anarch meet-up only to be caught up in the ambush where Sullivan Dane set off explosives - killing himself and most of Gary's Anarch population.
Since this event, the HURRICANE has been fairly quiet. What is known is that Gary's new governance counts Weatherbottom as an ally for whatever schemes they are cooking up in the rusted city.
Though his name has come up again recently. Trinity came across the Kindred, Edward Neally, who had acted suspicious upon seeing her. Upon confronting him, Neally eventually confessed that he had taken a job a few months beforehand to smuggle someone out of Gary, that had been Trinity. He would tell her that Weatherbottom had hired him for the task and instructed him to take her torpid body to the Neo-Futurist Theatre.
