Kindred activity is often a messy affair. It's much wonder how the Kine are able to live in ignorant bliss with the mess that some Kindred can leave behind. Many cities have their own way of controlling the local police forces - be it corrupt cops or the right backs needing to be scratched. For London, the key to keeping knowledge of Kindred kind away from the prying eyes of the kine is through the
Sheriff of East London, Cyrill Masters.
Cyrill was embraced by disgraced
Ventrue Valerius in the 1800's - but even before his embrace, Cyrill was a champion for order, justice and peace within his city. These traits suited the young Ventrue well when vying for a position such as Sheriff. Cyrill's conviction to the protection of East London outweighed any pretension or dislike of the Ivory Tower. Under his steadfast gaze, Cyrill has taken over the Police force of East London - becoming a shadow puppeteer, all in the name of protecting his city.
Despite Cyrill's apathy at becoming a Kindred, he still regularly partakes in Elysia and follows
Queen Anne without question nor hesitation. Though many within court wonder if Queen Anne's decisions were to adversely affect London, if Cyrill would continue to follow.
Interestingly, Cyrill has found kinship with London's clan of the
Rose, which is rather unusual for a Blue Blood. Some Kindred theorize that Cyrill's investment with the Rose Garden is merely a way to keep a watchful eye over the clan.
