The August Council

Following the revelation of Baron Callihan and Prince Panhard's involvement in Operation Spotlight, the Anarch Sect in New York felt new leadership was needed. Initially, a number of headstrong individuals stepped forward to assume the Barony. However, a number of Anarchs were understandably hesitant to accept a new Baron, regardless of their strength. It seemed that the Anarchs were only united in their opposition to another Baron. After three months of debating and in-fighting, Chin-Hwa Ho, Brujah and member of Carpe Noctem, the coterie that exposed the Kindred leaders, suggested another way.   With a number of Anarchs suspicious of a Baron being either just as bad as, or worse, a toady of (understandably) a Camarilla prince, Ho laid out an idea of a council instead, each borough represented by one Kindred. Elections would be held and terms would run five years, to ensure no one Kindred held the city or a borough in their sway for too long unjustly. Only Kindred registered with the domain's Sweepers would be allowed to vote in the borough they claim as their current residence. After a long and terse discussion, the idea was put into place. A vote was held in the fall of 2012, and 2013 was the first year the August Council reigned over the city.   The current representatives for each borough are:   The Bronx: Sully   Brooklyn: Chin-Hwa Ho   Manhattan: Bryce Clayton   Queens: Father Jordan Jackson   Staten Island: Desi Delgado
