The Guardian

"The Guardian" is an enigmatic figure who appeared in Realm 9: The Staircase.
He appeared in a section of the Staircase referred to as "the Purple Lodge."
"The Guardian's" name is unknown. He appeared as a translucent humanoid, draped in flowing purple robes, with a hood. In addition to the hood, his face and head are obscured by the presence of a floating "cigar burn," a surreal visual effect which smolders as a wound in space.
He offered advice on safe passage through the Purple Lodge, but for an unknown cost.
Unlike other entities that have been identified in the Staircase, "the Guardian" appeared to have agency, and was capable of meaningful communication.
