Hood of the Lost Ones

The Hood of the Lost Ones is a novel magical invention unique to Hindland.
It is modified from a Bag of Holding. Technically cursed, it is designed to be placed on a humanoid's head, like a hood. It enters the subject's head into a shared pocket dimension where it can see and hear others inside their own hoods.
The subject stays alive (their head is not severed) and the pocket dimension has breathable air.

Invented by the resistance of Hindland out of security concerns, they are used for shuttling personnel to secret locations while keeping the desintaiton unknown to the wearer.
It could also be used for secret, long-distance communication.
If another person places a hood onto the wearer, the item is automatically cursed for a day, and can only be removed by the person who placed the sack onto the wearer. It can also be removed by magical means (curse removal).
When worn, the wearer loses much of their spatial orientation, and ability to see and hear the outside world.
