Chosen

A title granted to someone hand-picked by a God or similar being to be their direct representative on the Material Plane, usually acting in their stead. These Chosen are often the top Cleric or Paladin of their respective deity, but not always; many even become Clerics or Paladins after being chosen by a deity. In other cases though, especially in religions with established clerical ranks, a God’s Chosen will instead have to prove themselves just as any other faithful would, but their status as Chosen often helps them rise through the ranks more easily, and some even have ranks specifically reserved for Chosen who reach the top. Many of these kind of Chosen are Aasimar as well, so they are often met with extravagant expectations as a result of both circumstances.
