Democratic Party

Founded in 1828 as a coalitive party to restore a two-party system and push elections towards nationalistic ideology instead of local issues to have cohesive party allegiances. The Democratic party has ebbed and flowed with the times. The Democratic Party had a major fissure break in 1955 when the Alliance Party separated into it's own party. The balance between the Alliance and Democratic parties is more balanced than the Republican and Constitution Parties. Thus the Democratic Party, the Alliance Party, and the Socialist Party often form leading government through more unified coalition.  The Democratic Party is currently lead by Bill Clinton as the last President from the party and nominal figure head. Al Gore-Senator former VP and current Senator from Tennessee, and Dick Gephardt Representative from Missouri.
