Britta Baddeck

Britta Baddeck was born as  Kim Mi-Cha in North Korea. Her family was very poor and she was a farmer with the rest of her family. Her parents and two older brothers died trying to escape North Korea. She was taken into Child Services in South Korea and moved from foster family to foster family. Eventually, she was placed with a businessman and his family. Her new foster father was kind, but her new foster mother was very abusive. Mi-Cha was physically beaten whenever her foster father was away. She ran away. She stowed away on a freight ship. She stole food during the 3 week trip, even then she was very weak when she reached Los Angeles. She spent 3 days on the streets in Los Angeles before she was arrested for theft from a grocery store. It was discovered that she was an immigrant. She was placed in social services. She was eventually placed with a couple who bonded with her. The Thompsons' were good to Mi-Cha and worked hard to learn Korean as she learned English. Mr. Thompson was a plumber and his wife was a seamstress. Mi-Cha eventually learned English and graduated high school. Two days after she graduated the Thompsons' house was robbed, Mr. Thompson was shot to death and Mrs. Thompson was hit with a rifle butt and knocked down a flight of stairs breaking her ribs and puncturing her lungs. Mi-Cha jumped out of her window and broke her ankle. She was able to crawl to the next house where the neighbor was able to call 9-1-1. Mi-Cha inherited the Thompson household after their deaths and about 20 thousand dollars. She couldn't stay in the home without her family because of the memories. She sold the house and joined the Army like Mr. Thompson had when he was young. Mi-Cha's physique was not bent towards traditional military service, but through hard work she persevered. She learned early on that Army hand-to-hand combat training was leaving her vulnerable. She learned elements of Judo and Sambo and created her own style based on these styles. She learned basic fire arms and is competent with them. Her best skills in combat are when she dual-wields her wakizashi swords. She became somewhat famous in her company for her swords skills. Wanda found out about her from other soldiers who had heard rumors. Wanda approached Mi-Cha. Mi-Cha agreed to joining the Beauty Battalion because it would giver her a chance to be more of a soldier than a side-show. She adopted the name Britta Baddeck to mimic Betsy Braddock aka Psylocke from Marvel. Britta is very small, standing 4'9" tall and weighing 95lbs.
