He died peacefully with his family at his side.
After a reign that lasted almost 35 years King Azoun IV died peacefully in Suzail. Without a legitimate and rightful living heir he transferred stewardship of the realm to his most trusted warrior (and friend) from the King's personal guard, Hadrian of Athas.
