Monsoon Season

Monsoon season comes every summer in Woodangees and is also sometimes called rain season or storm season. During monsoon season it will rain most if not every day and sometimes will rain un interrupted for several days. This leads to the swamp and marshlands to expand and fill. The amount of rain can cause issues, such as major flooding. Precautions have to be taken when planning new building project in any province with flooding issues.   Monsoons can vary in severity from year to year, with the land route city of Annavárosa being made impassible by monsoons several times throughout the years, the most recent being the flood of 2015. The city of Cinnamon has had to upgrade their canal system due to the city being flooded frequently any time the Ontangees river overflows. Copentah was built with drains and systems in place to deal with the influx of water that come with monsoon season every year. Tynican farms are designed to allow excess water to run off and even sometimes collect in reservoirs for use later in the year.

Manifestation

Monsoon season is a long period of summer that is know for excessive precipitation. Rain during monsoon season is ever present and can last for days. Wetlands swell and flooding is a frequent issue for inhabited areas. Flooding has washed out roads, cutting off towns from the rest of Woodangees and damaging infrastructure.

Localization

Monsoon season effects the entire archipelago but the issue of flooding is more of an issue in the areas that contain marsh lands, such and Ontangees, Nicccadia and Tynica. the Woodangian swamp is a major source of bio diversity and resources and many Woodangian experts believe the monsoons help renew and keep that ecosystem working.
