The Master
The Master. No one knows what it's real name is, or if it even has a name. The leader of the Cult Of Manos, the Master is an entity that travels from host to host, living on through them as a means to preach and spread the will and power of Manos. With a uncanny fierceness and devotion to it's god, The Master has lived a thousand lives and; even with the devastation wrought across The Withering, it intends to do whatever it takes to keep it's grip on it's little part of the devastated world. It lives on through an arm that is attached to every new host it obtains, and thanks to this, it has lived a sustained, indefinite life.
As of present, it's current host is a woman by the name of Jess Andrews, whom was previously reported as missing at the tail end of 2035.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
It's current body is well-maintained, a with a healthy skin complexion that's fairly fit. The body belongs to a woman that had been apart of the cult for a long time, and before she ended up becoming the current host of The Master, she had maintained a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Body Features
As is typical of those whom The Master has taken as a host, the right arm of the body has been completely replaced by the arm of The Original Host, with surgical scars that have long since healed being visible along the biceps. The hand of The Original Host suffers from stigmata, which occasionally gives it trouble on occasion due to sudden pains that shoot out through it. Alongside that, this particular body has a scar along the side, from a knife attack that the host suffered sometime in the time before The Withering.
Facial Features
There are bags underneath the eyes, mostly due to the erratic sleep schedule that The Master has. The body's chin is sharp, with faint dimples present whenever it smiles.
Identifying Characteristics
The Master's present body has long, thick blond hair, tied up into one rather long ponytail that goes all the way down it's back. Alongside that, the front of her hair has a hairpiece in the shape of a hand attached to the front, dangling off to the side a fair bit.
Physical quirks
When distressed or exhausted, The Master will oftentimes rub its wrists, twisting it's hand around in a circular fashion to reduce the strain that it feels within them.
Apparel & Accessories
The Master wears a black and red robe, the front of which has a V-shape beneath the neck and two massive hands plastered along the front of it. This attire was worn by all iterations of The Master, and it serves as a clear-cut sign of who it is and what he worships. These hands belong to that of Manos, and those who wear this attire are seen as true priests to The God Of Darkness.
Mental characteristics
Education
Having lived through body after body, life after life, The Master has obtained the knowledge and intelligence that each of it's previous hosts had. From all sorts of military and survival training skills to scientific and supernatural skills, The Master has achieved eons of education just by simply taking over the bodies of those it has turned into it's host.
Mental Trauma
It's earliest memory, one that it cannot determine is the memory of itself or of one of it's hosts, was witnessing The Crucifixion. That single event, the torture and slaying of a man whom died for being a king, bore a mark on this ancient entity. When the holy light and the great sea of blackness bore itself to Earth afterward, The Master would be an unfortunate soul that experienced this darkness. This darkness bore fruit, and made him a prime pick to become the holy priest of Manos, The God Of Darkness and Hands.
Morality & Philosophy
The Master has little respect or care for those outside of the Cult Of Manos. To it, they're all impure and corrupt, distorted by the light and following along on a path that furthered the suffering of those from eons ago. On the other hand, it holds a great respect for those that have followed in it's footsteps and in those who believe in the will of Manos. It also enjoys the company of women, and as such, it tends to keep a group of women around it when its body slumbers. Of course, not even they can be safe from the wrath of The Master, as if it perceives one of the women going against the will of Manos, they will suffer.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
The Master exists solely to serve and spread the will of Manos, and as such, it's focus is heavily singleminded to follow it's will and to do whatever Manos demands of it's most loyal priest. The Master helps itself to the gifts that are provided to it, such as the massive amounts of Mana that surges within it's body, and the many women that serve It's desires.
Likes & Dislikes
The Master has taken a liking to women in it's ages of existence, finding them to be the most powerful display of beauty and wonder. As such, it seeks to surround itself with women during it's times of rest. Alongside that, The Master has found great enjoyment in experimenting with the magic it has on hand, oftentimes spending weeks on end manifesting and controlling Mana. It's focus for the last few decades have been on the elements of Death and Life, making heavy use of both in an attempt to create living things.
The Master values the will of Manos greatly, and as such, it tends to become wrathful when one disrespects it's god. Alongside that, The Master has an extreme hatred for Christianity, seeing them as fools who do have misunderstood the sacrifice and pain of their god and prophets, especially those who carry the cross around. Infact, The Master fears the cross, seeing it as a horrific instrument that brought about the suffering of a man it saw as wonderful, eons ago, before the fog of time twisted it's memories.
Oh Manos, thou of primal darkness! Hear us! Hear us! For we are faithful and thou art our God.
What a terrifying entity. The fact it takes over other people's bodies is the worst part. Scary.
