Long Haired Horse Species in Witch's Peak Campaign | World Anvil

Long Haired Horse

This long haired horse is a native to Ethilia, being rarely seen outside of the region unless imported. They generally dislike warmer clients, preferring and only truly thriving in places with harsh winters. They are shorter in stature than the usual riding horse, but stronger. They are capable of prolonged travel, often maintaining their odd swaying pace for 20 to 25 hours in a row before resting.   They were first domesticated by the Wilscan people of Ethilia before the Estmerians arrived. Serving primarily as pack animals, as few people have the patience for the odd swaying stride of the animal. The Estmerians arrived with their own bread of horse that they prefer and use almost to exclusion. The new comers to the land, the Seaxe, have found the the Wilscan horse to be a fantastically useful beast.   The Wilscan horse has become a common sight in Seaxe communities. Hauling carts or covered in large heavy saddlebags filled with goods and trinkets.
