Sgnomes

Appearance

Sgnomes average two feet in height, with the tallest being no more than two and a half feet. They have long thick hair and beards, which help to keep them warm, and are white in colour. Most Snogmes dye a portion of their hair in bright, vibrant colours and then form it into a tall point on the top of their heads, like a hat. This oddity has been known to save many a Sgnome's life after they have fallen into a snowdrift, having only been found due the tip of their hair sticking out of the snow. They usually wear brightly coloured clothes, this is in part to help them be seen in heavy snowfall, and also to inject a bit of colour into the endless white environment that surrounds them.

Master Sculptors

Sgnomes have developed a passion for making ice sculptures, and the valley where they live is usually littered with them. Some of the pieces take years to make, a feat only possible due the permanently freezing temperatures where the Sgnomes live. Sculptures made by the Sgnomes also take much longer to melt when moved to a warmer environment, sometimes taking days to even begin melting. As a result, the Sgnomes sculptures are much sought after for fancy parties in the big cities. Getting them down the mountain safely however, is easier said than done.

Fun in the Snow

Sgnomes love any kind of winter sport, and take every opportunity they can to engage in them. Many Sgnomes also seem to have a fondness for the more extreme kinds of snowy fun. While skiing, ice skating, and sledging seem to be enjoyed by all Sgnomes, there are those who also take up snow boarding, lugeing, and ice climbing. They also have organised snowball fights which they take very seriously.
