Bally Loch Island

Situated in the centre of Bally Loch is a small island, no more than a few thousand sqaure feet. To one side It rises out of the water about sixty feet and its cliffs are craggy stone dotted with cracks an crevasses. It slopes down to a rocky shore at its other side. The uppermost section of the island is covered in a grove of hardy trees. As it slopes down the trees are replaced with spiky grass and low shrubs. The rocky shore is littered with driftwood and large rocks lay scattered about as if by a careless hand.   For all that the island is small it is home to many birds and aquatic animals, some of which can only be found in this region of the Moorlands. Once more people began travelling to this section of the Moorlands, word spread of the rare wildlife that could be found in the area. The Gnomes began to get concerned when bigfolk began tramping all over the island without much care for the harm they were doing. The Gnomes put their foot down and declared the island a sanctuary, there was a bit of an uproar at this but this was Gnome land and they had final say over say it.   After some appeals from naturists and scholars, the Gnomes began to allow people back on the island, but they strictly regulated it. All visitors must be accompanied a Gnome guide, only a certain number of people were allowed at once, visits are by booking only and there will be a fee. They also don't allow visits during certain breeding seasons, except under certain circumstances.
