The Aereni

The Aereni are one of the most ferocious tribes in all of Aquela. They are historically important since they typically send the most powerful warriors of all to Aquelo.

Structure

The Aereni, though mighty, are not a truly unified nation. The one family has many smaller feuding clans, who each individually choose their leaders through trial of combat. The representative of the entire nation is chosen similarly. The two most powerful clans are the Bakhari and Uukhai. The Bakhari had been in power for generations, since before the Dawn War. A more recent upstart clan, the Uukhai rose to power with Mayaru, and have been maintaining a fragile peace ever since.

History

Since before the Dawn War, the Aereni have lived on Umila as the champions of Bane. Efforts to consolidate power have repeatedly failed, and the clans continue to fight constantly.
