Dawn War

The war which began the current era. After years of conflict between the gods of Good and Evil, the gods founded The Dawn Council to give mortals a mouthpiece. With time, its true purpose as a corporeal weapon of the gods became an open secret. This source of anxiety and fear eventually sparked the largest proxy war in history, as the gods began to take sides. Millions died as they were forced to wage war at the behest of their creators. After years of fighting with no clear victor, the pleas of mortals going unheard, the gods called a truce. After much discussion, they deemed their creation to be a failure, and better off without them. They locked themselves from the realm with the four Cardinal Elemental Portals, which blocked any and all transportation between realms. Thus began anew a godless world.
