Eirish

When it comes to seafaring, no other race comes before the Eirish. Those crazy bastards always act as if they were born on a ship's deck, laughing even at the greatest storms. Well, not all of them, okay, but this kind of reputation doesn't come out of the blue, don't you think? Hard to live on the islands and not get obsessed with the sea.

The Eirish share the common ancestors with the Hummish. When the Ardenian Empire started its conquest, some of the defeated Hummish tribes took to the sea, fleeing from Ordonia. The majority of those refugees settled on the Wellimbrook Archipelago. With time, the Eirish society was getting more and more connected to the ocean, which promised abundant food and new islands to settle. This has naturally led to the rapid development of navigation and shipbuilding techniques. It was due to their efforts that the New World had been discovered and vast amounts of land there were colonised, immensely enriching the Eirish and prompting all other human races to take an interest in the New World as well.
