Wood
Wood has been the biggest source of fuel and power within the world of Windoreld since the beginning of time. It is used to create fire which then helps to cook food, blacksmith and metalsmith, build homes and important buildings, and create fires for warmth.
Some cultures in Windoreld such as the Elm and Beigwig only like to use wood ethically. This means only using certain types of wood, wood that is starting to rot, wood that is broken and wood that will make less of an impact on nature.
Wood is used a lot by royals and nobles as they can afford to constantly run numerous fires and they need to ensure their town blacksmiths and metalsmiths, bakeries and other places have constant supplies to. This ensures the smooth running of their lands.
Their is a profession that harvests and cuts the wood and there are also woodworkers who shape the wood into arrows, bows, knives and other important items.
Some cultures may have statues and figurines of the gods and goddesses carved into wood and displayed in their villages or sacred temples.
