Cerwyth

The Cerwyth live deep within the Safe Haven among the Water Stones. The most prominent culture found within the Safe Haven is that of the Beiwig (Forest Riders), however, since the Cerwyth have shared the Haven they have introduced their own culture.
The Cerwyth don't share all the same beliefs as the Beiwig though both highly value nature and are influenced by it. The Cerwyth are very peaceful people who enjoy living by the river in their small homes and spend most of their time outside. They swim a lot and often fish and hold fishing competitions. The Beiwig don't eat other creatures so this is one way they differ in their culture, they also don't partake in fishing or swimming. They Cerwyth take things very lightly and often giggle a lot and can be found pulling pranks on the Beiwig. They are often described as being child-like.

Naming Traditions

Feminine names

Female first names are usually named after flowers for example, Daislee (Daisy) or Myrtlin (Myrtle) or Dandy (Dandelion).

Masculine names

Male first names are usually named after trees and more commonly fish for example, Oakil (Oak), Mahogo (Mahogony), Ebonel (Ebony), Tunirn (Tuna), Percyn (Perch).

Unisex names

It is not rare for some names to be used for females and males both, it often depends on the appearance of their namesake such as Cherren (Cherry Blossom) as the tree itself looks feminine.

Family names

The Cerwyth have very pretty nature inspired family names such as Bubblebrook, or Maplemoss. Ocassionally there may be some less pretty sounding e.g Barkstone or Twigleaf.

Common Etiquette rules

Sometimes they forget about manners when interacting with other cultures as they are child-like. They may also find it hard to take things seriously and can be naive.

Common Dress code

They were respectable, simple clothing inspired by the colours of the forest and river.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

A child catching their first fish is celebrated, these people love celebrations and competitions. If there's a chance to win something, they will definitely participate!

The Cerwyth are child-like in both their demeanor and their personality thus they need no beauty rutuals. Their skin is smooth and glowing.

They are monogomous peoples whom marry once and settle down with children, teaching them the ways of the river and how to fish and swim.
