The 8 Primary Rules of Fey Dealings
by Daphyra Kalphele- Choose your words carefully
- Never share your full name
- Always pay your debts and don't return more than you borrowed
- Don't accept gifts and never thank Fey
- Do not eat Fey food or drink Fey wine when univited
- Don't give Fey cheap clothing
- Don't mention that you have a newborn child at home or speak the names of children
- Don't step into a fairy ring
- Fey do not tell lies. Words are powerful in the Feywild and for a Fey creature to lie about the nature of a thing would be akin to insulting the thing itself. Fey will often tell incomplete or partial truths to trick listeners into deceiving themseleves.
- Promises are sacred pacts among Fey that must be followed, though Fey may try to manipulate the circumstances to ensure they do not have to abide by the intent of the promise.
- The morals of Fey are often seen as strang and alien to those in the Material Plane. While morals on the Material Plane are often described as being on a scale of black to white, Fey morals would be described as being on a scale of orange to blue. While their sense of right and wrong may be differnet they still have a moral code they exist within.
