Obsidian took over running the Helvite Mines after the fall of Teneo. He runs the mine in a far more human way than the company ever did; Treating the workers like people, not slaves. Obsidian seems to have a tendency to understate issues to avoid panic but values his employees taking steps to protect them along with those who come to the Helvite Mines on business.
