Syndra Silvane

Syndra Silvane is a retired human adventurer from Port Nyanzaru in Chult. She is in her late 50's and accumulated a respectable fortune over decades of adventure. After retirement, Syndra mentored others who wished to take on the life of an adventurer.
Unknown to many is that Syndra Silvane actually died on one of her numerous adventures. Thanks to her wealth and trusty companions who petitioned powerful priests on Syndra's behalf, she was magically resurrected from her untimely death. The experience was enough to shake Syndra's confidence and lead to her early retirement.
Recently Syndra and everyone else in Exandria who had ever been magically resurrected have been afflicted with a wasting disease that has been labeled the Death Curse. This curse is slowly bleeding Syndra's soul away and has caused her to become very sick. She has spent her fortune on trying to investigate this Death Curse in an attempt to stop it's source before it takes her life and the lives of thousands of others across the world who are also suffering the ill effects.
Syndra has taken up residence with her long time friend Wakanga O'tamu while calling in any favors she has with old companions and students to take up her quest to stop the Death Curse and save Syndra's life. So far none that have answered her call have come back alive.
