Pendle

Pendle is a racing Deinonychus Dinosaur who at first appearance looked to old and lame in one leg to be a successful mount in the weekly dinosaur races of Port Nyanzaru. Pendle was registered and entered only one race by an equally frail looking elderly man by the name Admiral Shanks ret.. 
The pair had looked to be a complete waste of a racing slot, but shocked the Port Nyanzaru racing world when Pendle, despite appearances, was the fastest dinosaur ever witnessed to run in a race. Admiral Shanks ret. and Pendle set a course record that is likely to stand for decades, if it will ever be beaten.
After the legendary race, many wealthy owners of other popular racing dinosaurs attempted to find and buy Pendle from her rider Admiral Shanks, however, both the Admiral and Pendle mysteriously disappeared after their impressive win without a trace. This of course has just added to the legend and mystique of Pendle, the Deinonychus that ran like lightning.
