Session 40 - Sneaking into the Bay

General Summary

Pirate Encounter:

• Gos and Marble: Marble sees a Half Orc pirate carrying a bound gnome, causing a commotion. Gos understands the undercommon language being spoken, revealing anger and accusations of betrayal.


• Gnome Captive: The Half Orc explains the captain's orders to calm the gnome. The gnome is thrown into a gibbet on the side of a boat. Gos and B hear more undercommon swearing, indicating leadership turmoil.

Exploration and Discovery:

• Council Chamber: The group decides to stealth to the first door. They find a space that is part dining hall and part council chamber, confirming the semi-democratic nature of the pirate community.
• Kitchen and Log-Book: In a kitchen space, Marble wants to take all the food. They hear voices downstairs, prompting B to suggest sneaking downstairs. They find a luxurious room with a log-book in thieves' cant, revealing that slaves are being delivered to the Ever Plume, and a silver dragonborn with magical capabilities is involved.

Plan and Battle:

• Forgemaster Fight: The group decides to make a diversion in the water and cross a bridge. Marble attempts to sneak into a hot area but is seen by the Forgemaster. They engage in a fight, with a pirate bursting through the door, but one is turned into a turtle.
• Aftermath: Kel checks downstairs and finds no one. They find a corridor with cells.

Rescue and Revelations:
