A distant rumble like thunder strikes fear in all those who hear it. Like lightning itself, only destruction follows in their wake. These magnificent creatures were once believed to be born from stormclouds, and embody nature's wrath. Now we know better, but it makes them no less fierce or dangerous.   --excerpt from The Magnificence of Dragons       Also known as Tonare greys or Stormbornes, this rare species of dragon is most noted for their dark grey scales resembling storm clouds and their ability to generate electricity. They are similar in size to Ravagers but slightly smaller, maxing out at 80 in (203 cm)     Stormbornes are capable of discharging electricity from their claws and fangs. The discharge provides a dangerous shock capable of stopping the heart of a large creature or causing paralysis. They use this in combat and hunting to kill or immobilize prey with little effort. This makes them far more dangerous in melee combat as they use it for offense and defense. This electrical power comes at a price, however, as they are unable to expel flames. They also can only expel so many charges at one time. With each charge, it becomes weaker. It recharges over time, but by rubbing their wings against their scales, they can recharge faster for another burst. Because this occurs while they are flying, they limit their time in the air, or else they must sometimes need to discharge. Their bodies glow when they are charged with electricity.   Because they cannot expel fire, they rely heavily on their speed and superior agility during hunts and combat. Also, they face scrutiny from other dragons for their lack of fire capability.   The electric organs are stored in their tails which are slightly longer than that of the average dragon. These tails are also slightly less flexible but more sensitive.   Stormbornes prefer to live in dryer climates as moist environments make them more dangerous and cause them discomfort.
