General Summary

Stay away from undead tied to trees, they are alarms.
  Overheard Conversations
Royalty is starting to get involved. You could take and keep any property that can be held.
The land is unclaimed, but there were people here before the Red King took over. The Red King does not have all the forces here.

Grass is really dry and when burn very easily. Trees are really dry.
I shot a Fire Bolt at a tree and started it on fire.
Ranger takes a shot at a being behind the tree and hits; the being falls to the ground dead.
The burning debris sets the the grass on fire.
We are surrounded by goblins; one attacked the Ranger and missed. Ranger runs and trips on two goblins.
Druid went down, under -1, and cleric gave him a potion with +8 points
After dispatching the Goblins, they had:
  • 14 Drow quarrels that can hold poison

  • 1 Drow hand crossbow

  • 14 sp in total

  • Many brass, iron and steel keys; One key has a gem

  •   Talking/Intimidation to gobiln, does not know where the prisoners are, but there's a lot of loot, so they are collecting the keys so they can get into places that are locked.
      From the goblin with a purple custom fitted jacket has 36 platinum pieces newly minted within the year, skull with a crown; words "crimson ...?
    Prismatic Spray wand from the goblin; will recharge daily; I claim the wand.
      Forest King Forward Guard come out from the trees; about 12 high elves hiding in the trees.
    They are patrolling the beach and protecting the people who land.

    Some back story of the Forest King
    King Walterro(sp?) in his 40's, he is married to Caroline, Elven princess 380yr. has a good relationship with the dwarves; elves are more calm with the the King.
    Son of the King, Richard is the elder, class: cavalier
    Cythanada Cleric, clerical leader; looks more eleven; her children White Circle
    Thomas is a bard; has many children he does not acknowledge; drunkage and coward
    Dia Meter harper, Alchemist; not to be trusted; trades with many questionable merchants.

    We show the elves the map and where we need to go, and ask if they know anything about the area. The Elves are snickering and gives better map with more details: with elevation, more markings, buildings and other items all in Elvish.
    Elves stating there are many transplanted creatures to the area: orcs, goblins, hobgoblins and they are smarter than usual; command color is purple.

    Cliff-side fortification has people guarding it, and there is a temple; Elves have seen prisoners being taking to one of these locations.
    Written in charcoal that can be rub off on the map given to use by the Elves: "The Shataki pray to a false god of death"; the druid removed this marking.

    Come upon a human encampment that was occupied a few days ago. There are bodies buried in the area.
    Ranger finds a silver chain (20gp) in the tall grass by a log; possibly high Elven.
    The area is blighted.

    There is a fortification about three miles away to stay at, but we find greenery: tree stump with white flowers and vines; flowers are plain.
    The Ranger goes picks a flower and the vine wraps around his arm; is not able to cut the vine, short sword is stuck in the vine; and appears to be sucking the life from the Ranger. Witch sprinkles black moss on the plants and the vines wither away and release the Ranger.

    Farther along, we found partially put up tent, and lots of blood everywhere and some packs.
    Blood splatter looks like something very strong hit what over was here. I'm not seeing anything other than footprints.
    Ranger is grabbed by something; suddenly disappears. Ranger grabbed by a very large trapdoor spider; he's been bitten and poisoned;

    We're able to kill the spider and retrieve the Ranger and give him a potion to heal the poison.

    Cleric goes down the trap spider hole with an anchored rope to check the other skeletal bodies in the spider hole.
