Calcite and Gypsum

A pair of reluctant gargoyle scouts, encountered on the grand staircase in the complex underneath the town. Spoke of their "maker" that carved them (very roughly), hostile constructs they weren't allowed to fight, and orders to prevent people coming into the city. A short skirmish later and maybe a friend made more than an enemy, they retreated to somewhere else in the ancient ruins.
