Written by c0mlink

The castle that no one may see, but sees everyone. A place synonymous with feelings of envy, jealousy, and regret. But also rumored to be full of limitless treasure and the ability to travel anywhere instantly. In all stories, besides the original. this place is found by walking through a mirror.

Summary

Once upon a time, there were three friends. One who worked with wood and made tools for the people. One who worked with stone and made houses for the people. And one who worked with glass.     The three lived in the same house, working together to make it bigger and better piece by piece. However, as time went on the glassworker realized they did not contribute the same way as their friends. So while the woodworker and stoneworker was out the glassworker tried to use the woodworking tools. he broke all of them by mistake. Seeing this they panicked and decided to brake all the tools in the house and blame it on a break-in. but after he had finished with the stoneworker's tools and was going to break his own, the other's found him with all the broken tools and his own completely intact.     Furious the pair cast the glassworker out onto the street and spread the story of what had happened. This ruined the glassworker's lively hood for years after. while the woodworker and stoneworker built their home into a castle.    The Glassworker eventually lived down his shame by moving to the next town over. But hearing about the castle that was built by their former friends they were overcome with jealously. They began building a castle of glass. However, everyone who saw the construction would laugh. people would go inside and steal the things they saw inside. So the glassworker learned dark magic to keep invaders at bay.     The glass castle, the joke for the town quickly became a blemish that needed clearing out. Adventurers started being hired to attack, or destroy the castle. But those who went in never came back. Their gruesome deaths on display for the whole town. and the stockpile of powerful magic weapons and gold piling up for all to see.     The castle became infamous enough that the two craftsmen hearing of it and worrying about the wrath of their former friend amassed an army to break the glass castle. As all attempts so far had failed so they spent their whole fortune on the best soldiers and equipment. Even the sword saint participated. But as they arrived the castle was gone, nowhere to be found.     Upon return the craftsmen found their own castle gone aswell. not a single stone or length of wood remained. turning to their army they found only the sword saint just as confused as they were, and a single coin on the ground. made from brightly colored glass.
