Elemental favoritism

You prefer to do one type of damage with your spells. Nothing wrong with a favorite flavor to magical mayhem!

Career

Qualifications

Use spells that deal with a specific element 10 times in a row. This can be fire, ice, water, electricity, light, darkness, earth, or wind. they must be of the same element to count.

Career Progression

once you get this subclass you are bound to one element from the list above, this is decided by what element you used to obtain this subclass. You cannot lose this subclass by using a spell of a different element, however, it resets your progression to the next feat.   Every time you cast 10 spells in a row that deal with your bound element you may take a feat associated with this class.   Once you take your 10th feat you gain access to the hidden class Elementalist.

Other Benefits

When you cast spells that do force damage, you may make them deal the damage associated with your bound element. (water=bludgoning, wind=slashing, earth=peircing, dark=necrotic, light=radiant)

Specalize

Elemental Favoritism sub-class

When you take this feat you add 1 to the damage roll of all spells that use your bound element, however you subtract 1 from the damage roll of all spells that do not use your bound element. this cannot reduce the damage done below 1.   You may take this any number of times stacking the effects.

Elemental Favoritism sub-class

When using a spell that deals with your chosen element you have a 1% chance to recover any spell slot used for it.    You may take this feat 10 times. stacking up to 10% chance of recovery.

 

Elemental Defense

Elemental Favoritism sub-class

When targeted with a spell that uses your bound element, you get a +1 to AC or the ability check to avoid damage from area of effect spells.    You may take this 5 times. getting up to a +3.
