Articles of war
This internationally accepted treaty is meant to protect civilians and POW in times of war.
The basics are that if someone surrenders, and posses no perceived threat they are not to be killed but rather detained until such a time that their release no longer threatens peace in the country or settlement of the persons that detained.
The POW or prisoners of any kind have mandated a meal of quality and quantity no less than half what a solider of the corresponding nation is provided on a daily basis, as well as basic sentient needs.
Upon ending of conflict the negotiations of the release of prisoners must start within 1 month. if no agreement is made within 1 year unconditional release of 1/2 of all prisoners is required. if no agreement is made within 5 years unconditional release of all prisoners is required.
"Slave armies" or forced levy of military are prohibited without adequate compensation for the time and dangers faced.
Purpose
to protect innocents in times of war.
